Boardman Cottage

The Boardman Cottage is a six-bedroom Adult Family Care Home on the picturesque island of Islesboro, Maine. Due to its central location on the island, it is a convenient stop for visitors and a fitting place for many types of social activities such as musical entertainment, bingo games, birthday parties, and discussion groups.

The Home provides a safe and secure environment where the independence and individualism of the residents is supported and encouraged. A program of services is provided to ensure that the privacy, personal choices, and individual rights of residents are respected at all times.

Rooms

The residence consists of six private rooms with half baths. Each room is equipped with a call system, private phone line, and a satellite TV connection. There is ample closet space and each room is decorated to be reflective of the relaxed and cozy atmosphere of the Island.

Facilities

The exterior and interior have been designed to look and feel like home to the residents. All exits and entrances are at ground level which keeps the Home fully accessible.

Services

The home provides residents with three home cooked meals and snacks, therapeutic diets, housekeeping and laundry service, assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, provision for intermittent nursing needs, transportation and social and recreation activities. Rates

Rates are determined by the cost of staffing, administration, the physical building, systems, insurances, supplies, materials and equipment. MaineCare with Social Security benefits can pay for these. Please see the Services at Boardman Cottage page for more information.
