Boardman Cottage continues to succeed because of generous support from our wonderful community. We depend on fundraising and private donations to supplement Medicaid payments, which do not cover our operating costs. Gifts may be designated for our endowment fund, which provides a continuing source of operating revenue. Gifts not so designated will be applied to annual operations.

Bequests
A charitable gift from your estate is a favored method of giving that enables you to achieve your financial goals and benefit Boardman Cottage. Past legacy gifts from community members and resident families have allowed us to improve our sustainability by building our endowment fund.
Donations of Furniture
We gratefully accept quality home furnishings for sale throughout the year in our furniture store, the red building next door to Boardman Cottage. To inquire about donating furniture, please contact Carol Pierson.
Grants
The Beacon Project regularly applies for grants to fund operations, make capital improvements at Boardman Cottage and support fund raising projects. Some of the foundations awarding us grants in the past are:
The Agnes Lindsay Foundation
Christ Church Centennial Fund
Fisher Charitable Foundation
Davis Family Foundation
Please contact us if your organization would be interested in considering The Beacon Project for grant funding.
Wish List
Most of the special extras at Boardman Cottage, like our digital camera, have been gifts from our friends and neighbors. The residents always have a few requests in mind. If you would like to donate or help purchase a wish list item, please contact Maura Michael for a suggestion.
