Volunteers Needed!

If you would like to donate your time and talents to a worthy cause, Boardman Cottage has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! If you would like to lend a hand but you don't know how to get started, here are some ideas.

Helpers

We need a few people who would be available to fill in when needed. If you don't want to organize an activity on your own, being a Helper may be the way to go. You could:

• Play dominoes
• Assist with drawing activities
• Organize
• Drive the ladies
• Garden
• Mow lawns
• Shovel snow
• Decorate Christmas trees
• Make flower arrangements

Whatever your strengths and pleasures, we could use your help!

Companions

Being a Companion is just like it sounds - coming in to make a new friend or rekindle old friendships. There are many things you could do that would make a big difference in someone's day, such as:

• Reading the newspaper
• Helping with letter writing
• Playing a game
• Eating lunch or taking a walk around the grounds together
• Just stopping by to chat

The benefits of being a Companion far outweigh the work involved!

Share Your Talents

Are you an artist? Do you like to play an instrument or bake? Or maybe you simply like to play games. Whatever your gift is, we encourage you to share it with us. We would be happy to set up a:

• Guest cook night
• Musical concert
• Art hour
• Competitive board game
• Or other events fitting what you have to offer
